Aorere College takes an holistic view of education, believing that in addition to striving for academic success, students should be given opportunities to develop their potential outside the formal classroom situation.

The school offers the opportunity to participate and compete at the highest level in every major sport including: AFL, Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Footbal, Golf, Hockey, Ki o Rahi, Kilikiti, Lawn Bowls, Netball, Petanque, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Softball, Table Tennis, Touch, Tag, Volleyball, and Waka Ama.
We have a proud tradition of involvement in the ASB Maori and Pacific Island Cultural Festival. In recent years the school has been well represented in every major culture including: Maori, Samoan, Tongan, Cook Island, Niuean and Indian.
